Classical dance, also known as ballet, is a type of dance that has different techniques and specific movements. Ballet is, in addition, the name that allows to make reference to the composite piece to be interpreted through the dance.

In addition to this it is also worth noting that it was in France and specifically during the reign of Louis XIV that the professionalization of classical dance took place. Thus a few years later, in the second half of the seventeenth century, was when it opened its doors that is considered the first school of classical dance. We are referring to the Académie Royale de la danse.
